Businesses around the Ratchaprasong area hosted a memorial yesterday evening to pay their respects to the people who lost their lives in the Erawan Shrine bombing.
Seven days after the horrific bombing, a Buddhist ceremony to bless and release the spirits of those who died was organized yesterday outside Amarin Plaza at 6pm.
Led by former politician Sudarat Keyuraphan, the participants sang the national anthem and raised the Thai flag before lighting candles and walking from Amarin Plaza to the Erawan shrine.
At exactly 6:55pm, the time of the explosion last Monday, the group prayed for the victims and placed flowers outside the shrine.
