Thai Air Force officer shot in the arm in San Francisco

An officer in the Royal Thai Air Force was shot in the arm in San Francisco after his camera was stolen.

The incident took place on Aug 25 when a 45-strong group from the air force checked out the sights in San Francisco.

The unnamed officer was shot when he gave chase after a man snatched his camera and ran away. A second suspect waiting in a car shot the officer in the arm.

The victim was hospitalised but he is scheduled to return to Bangkok with the rest of the group today.

Two men have been arrested for the incident.

The group had travelled to Alaska to take part in a 10-day joint military exercise from Aug 6-23 and they were sightseeing in San Francisco before flying home, reported the Nation.
