Comatose actor Por Thridsadee has left foot amputated

Doctors on Saturday amputated the infected left foot of TV star Thridsadee “Por” Sahawong, who has been in a coma for two weeks after contracting dengue fever.

Por, 37, developed high blood pressure from the infection in his left foot on Friday night, leaving the doctors no choice but to amputate his foot to prevent the virus from spreading, according to Sunday’s announcement from Ramathibodi Hospital.

The channel 3 actor also had to undergo surgery on Saturday night for bleeding in his chest cavity. space around his lungs and had to undergo surgery on Saturday night.

Por’s blood pressure has been brought back under control, and has normal liver function, however his kidneys are failing, his doctors said.

While Por’s body is now free of the dengue virus, doctors are treating the complications caused by the virus. He’s currently being monitored in the hospital’s cardiac care unit.

After the announcement of Por’s surgery was made public at 6pm yesterday, fans expressed their shock on social media and sent their support, with many admitting the news had left them in tears.
