Pattaya cops hunt gang who abducted foreigner

Police in Pattaya are hunting a gang of five foreign suspects after they were spotted earlier this morning assaulting a foreign man and abducting him.

Guards on the Jomtien Park Villas housing estate went to investigate around 5am when they heard cries for help, and spotted five masked men beating another man, Thai PBS reported.

The suspects were then seen dragging the victim into a pickup truck.

When they spotted the guards, one gang member pointed a gun at them and warned them to stay away, before the gang drove off with the kidnap victim.

Pattaya police investigated the scene and found traces of blood, weapons and gun ammunition.

Police are tracking the gang using CCTV footage. The identities of the victim and the gang are currently unknown.
