Phuket police are searching for two male suspects with tattooed faces after they robbed a Russian woman and kicked over her bicycle, sending her sprawling onto the ground Saturday morning.
Olga Shnyreva, 35, told police that she was riding her bicycle on Baan Koh Kaew Road when two young men rode up on a black motorcycle.
The motorbike driver snatched her bag from the handlebars and at the same time the man riding in the back kicked her bicycle over, according to police.
Olga suffered minor scrapes and bruises on her right shoulder, arm and elbow.
The thieves, estimated to be in their early 20s, sped off toward Thepkrassatri road with her iPhone and THB400 cash.
“I fell on on the road while they sped away. Both of them have small tattoos with blue ink on their faces,” Olga said.
Police took description of the tattoos from the victim and will track down the suspects from CCTV footage.
