A horny taxi driver with a track record of talking dirty to his female passengers has been fined THB1,000.
The Department of Land Transport said on Sunday it punished Eakkapop Chareonthonsathorn for “acting and talking inappropriately to passengers” after his habit of harassing passengers went viral on the internet.
The latest case took place on Friday when a female student at Mahidol University posted on Pantip forum that the creepy taxi driver had asked her friend to marry him after graduation.
“Do you have a boyfriend? After senior year, do you wanna marry me? Being with me doesn’t require a degree,” Ekkapop was quoted as saying on the Pantip thread.
Another victim, high school student Laphasrada Khansuwan, posted on Facebook on Nov. 8 that when she got in Ekkapop’s taxi with another female friend in front of Mahidol University, the driver tried to give the the teens some sex advice.
“Thai society is all wrong. Parents teach children that being in a relationship is not good. Having sex is not wrong because it’s a form of happiness!” the student claimed Ekkapop said.
Er thanks for the concern Ekkapop, but how about we keep parents in charge of kids’ sex education and not some random creepy guy?
After that Ekkapop asked the two high school girls for their numbers, but they refused and got out of the cab.
Officials said they would revoke Eakkapop’s license if he repeats his actions.
Ekkapop’s license plate is V-9873, and he is known to drive around Salaya area in Nakhon Pathom.
