Guitar legend Santana to perform with Thailand’s own Carabao in Bangkok

Latin rock fans in Bangkok, get ready to go crazy: legendary musician and top guitarist Santana returns to the city next year.

As part of his worldwide “Luminosity Tour 2016,” the Mexican-American musician will be playing his fusion of rock, blues and jazz, live at the Impact Arena, with support from Thai folk band Carabao.

The artist behind hits “Blues for Salvador,” “Smooth,” “Maria Maria,” “El Farol,” “The Calling,” “Put Your Lights On,” “The Game of Love,” and many more, Santana rose to fame in the 1960s and has since notched up several awards and record milestones over the years.

With his band, Santana has sold over 100 million records over the last 40 years and entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after winning 10 Grammy awards.

Last year he became the second artist to have an album in the top ten over six consecutive decades after the release of his latest album Corazon.

Support act Carabao are known for the expressive songs, mainly focusing on the hardship of working-class people.

Tickets will be available from Dec.19 onwards via Thaiticketmajor, starting at THB2,000.
