The year-end holiday season always brings a little excitement, and this time is no exception for shopaholics.
Shoppers can end the season with their wallets a little heavier as they can get a tax refund for goods and services costing up to THB15,000 as a “New Year gift” from the Finance Ministry.
The promotion is expected to be officially announced on Friday, Christmas Day, by the ministry and will last until the end of the year.
To be eligible for the discount, shoppers must buy from registered businesses and get a full receipt showing the value added tax (VAT) and a tax invoice.
Sadly, the ‘gift’ does not apply to alcohol, tobacco, gas and vehicles, Khaosod English reported.
