Tigerair plane forced to land in Bangkok after passenger death

A Singapore-bound Tiger Airways flight from Chiang Mai was forced to land at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport last night after a passenger died on the plane.

Tigerair flight TR2177 was diverted after the 58-year-old Singaporean man passed away during the flight, Thai PBS reported.

The man was accompanied by his family of five. His Thai wife told Suvarnabhumi airport officials he suffered from chronic sickness and believed his death was natural.

The body of the deceased has been taken to hospital for an autopsy.
