Valentine’s wedding: Selected district offices open on Sunday for couples to get married

Despite this year’s Valentine’s day landing on a Sunday, selected Bangkok district offices will be open for couples to get their marriage licenses.

To accommodate couples who want to get married on Valentine’s Day, 38 out of 50 offices will open on Sunday from 8am – 4pm.

That includes Bang Rak, the most popular district to get married because it has the word “rak,” meaning “love” in its name. Get it?

However, to accommodate more lovers, Bang Rak and other four districts will be giving out the marriage license outside its locations. Bang Rak district will operate services at the Grand Postal Building; Watthana at Terminal 21 shopping mall; Saphansoong at Pacio Town; and Bang Khen at Venice Di Iris.

The other 33 districts, which will open their offices for couples to get their marriage licenses, are Bang Bon, Bang Kho Laem, Bangkhuntien, Bangkok Noi, Bangkok Yai, Bang Na, Bang Phlat, Bang Sue, Bueng Kum, Chatuchak, Chom Thong, Dusit, Don Muang, Huay Kwang, Klong Samwa, Khan Na Yao, Lak Si, Min Buri, Nong Chok, Pathumwan, Phasi Charoen, Phra Khanong, Phra Nakhon, Phaya Thai, Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Prawet, Ratchaburana, Ratchathewi, Sai Mai, Suan Luang, Taling Chan, Tawee Wattana, and Yannawa.
