A cute flash mob of 1,600 papier-mâché pandas has occupied Sanam Luang this afternoon, brightening up the historic ground beside Wat Phra Kaew.
The “1600 Pandas” exhibition by French artist Paulo Grangeon will be displayed at Sanam Luang until 6pm tonight before it moves to different locations across the city including CentralWorld, BTS Chong Nonsi, Bangkok Art and Cultural Center, Lumpini Park and more.
Sponsored by wildlife charity WWF, the one-of-a-kind 1,600 panda paper sculptures have been exhibited across the globe since 2008 to highlight the importance of wildlife conservation and sustainability.
