Graphic train safety posters which were displayed at train stations across Thailand between 1965 – 1968 have resurfaced, bringing back fond childhood memories for netizens despite the explicit illustrations of bloody accidents.
Fifty years after the posters scared children and kept them disciplined on train journeys, the Locomotive Engineer School recently shared vintage posters on Facebook, reminding some people of their old journeys with their parents when they were young.
The posters have imaginative cautions such as “Don’t get your foot stuck between a railroad switch” or “Don’t sleep on the railway,” which we hope didn’t actually happen in the 60s.
The posters were drawn by artists with the pseudonyms “Suparat” and “Sakda.”
