As the weather transitioned from damn hot to wet, Bangkok was hit by a surprise summer rain this morning, causing many residents to run through the downpour while covering their heads with a bag to avoid getting wet.
The temperature in Bangkok is 31 celsius today. The city is mostly cloudy with scattered thundershowers. This was caused by the southeasterly winds, which prevails over the Central, East and the upper-South, according to Thai Meteorological Department.
It is predicted that Friday will be cloudy with a 10-20 percent chance of rain, so it might be a good idea to carry an umbrella just in case.
The department said Bangkok will be hot again on Saturday.
