Police arrest son for allegedly raping his mother and threatening to kill her

Police have arrested a Trang man for allegedly raping his mother while drunk at their shophouse and threatening to kill her if she told anyone.

Anucha Khunpichai, a 47-year-old rubber tapper, was arrested at an oil palm plantation in Huai Yot district yesterday after his 62-year-old mother filed a police report.  He was charged with rape and sexual assault.

Anucha denied all charges.

Anucha’s mother, whose name has been withheld, told police she was raped by her son at their grocery shop at 4am on Thursday, where they lived alone.

She alleged her son, who came home drunk, dragged her to her bedroom, where he raped her and threatened to kill her if she shouted for help. The victim said she feared for her life as there was a gun and knives in their home.

Her son showed no remorse for his action, and even asked when she would have sex with him again, the mother said.

She convinced her son that she would not tell anyone and sent him off to work at the plantation where he was caught.

The mother was sent for a medical examination. Her son is in police custody, reported Bangkok Post.
