McDonald’s blames bad neighborhood after ‘McRat’ roamed free in their food display (VIDEO)

McDonald’s apologized and blamed the bad neighborhood of its store after a local filmed a huge rat running excitedly through its food display at a Mcdonald’s in Hat Yai, Songkhla.

The junk food franchise issued an apology on Sunday, after a video of a rat roaming in its parfait topping display at a store in Lee Gardens Plaza went viral.

“The company has checked the CCTV footage and found that there was really a rat inside our restaurant,” the statement said.

“The company immediately cleaned all equipment and at every corner in the restaurant — especially the dessert station.”

As the statement goes on and on about its “leadership in the food business and friendly service,” the fast food company blamed the store’s surroundings for the rat’s appearance.

“The particular Mcdonald’s store is located on a street where there are many street vendors and sewers —  which are infested with rats and insects.”

As a result, the company will consult with the landlord to get rid of the rats and insects at the mall.

Still, this is quite a big improvement from when the company said it was impossible that a rotten lizard found by a customer in his soda cup came from their kitchen.
