Stray dog helps find body of drowned man in Bangkapi

The body of a 42-year-old man who had drowned in a large pond on Seri Thai Road in Bangkapi District on Tuesday was found with the help of a stray dog, said Bueng Kum police.

An initial investigation revealed that the deceased, whose name has been withheld, was drinking alcohol with two friends at noon when he jumped into the large pond for a swim and drowned.

One of the two friends told police that he found the body with the help of the stray dog. The friend then called rescue workers.

Reportedly, the dead man always fed the dog.

Police believe he could have suffered from heat stroke.

His body has been sent to a hospital for further investigation, Sanook reported.
