As we know, Koh Phangan is home to the Full Moon Party which attracts people from all over the world and, in turn, leaves the island with a serious litter problem.
The problem is extremely noticeable the morning after the party.
The responsibility to clean up the island falls on the shoulders of local officials but, in the video clip below, a very thoughtful tourist has stepped in to help.
A farang lady was filmed collecting garbage on a beach on Phangan, and by doing so she gained a lot of praise from Thai netizens.
The person who filmed the clip said the lady explained why she cleans the beach.
“She doesn’t have such beautiful beaches in her country and she doesn’t want to see Phangan destroyed by litter.”
If only everyone felt the same way.
