Couple busted making ‘fake’ orange juice

After a “fake shampoo” factory was uncovered in Saraburi, street vendors were arrested in the same province with fake orange juice.

A Vietnamese couple, whose identities were not disclosed, were recently caught in Muaklek district while they were pouring their “fake” orange juice into bottles for sale, according to a post widely shared on social media.

It is reported that the colorful drink was made from a mix of tap water, orange coloring and saccharin (aka sugar substitute), which is about 300 times sweeter than sugar.

The couple were selling their orange juice for THB20 a bottle. And the oranges in the photos? Those are just props to decorate their cart.
