Jealousy got the best of a fried chicken vendor in Pattaya, who, upon finding out that her husband was cheating on her with a close friend, severed his penis almost completely with a box cutter early Tuesday morning.
Their names have not been released.
The woman, a 39-year-old from Kamphaengphet, said she lured her husband into a sexual situation by stroking him and talking sweetly. Once he was aroused, she attacked him with the box cutter.
Emergency medical workers rushed the man, 41, from Bangkok, to Banglamung Hospital after they found him screaming outside of the couple’s room in Soi Nern Plab Wan.
The man’s penis was barely attached and he was covered with blood. His wife went along to the hospital.
She reported that their bed was covered in blood and her husband was shrieking so she thought she might call the paramedics out of pity.
Doctors at the hospital said the man lost a lot of blood and would need to stay in the hospital. They did not yet know if he would regain use of his organ. They noted that, in these cases, there are often psychological problems as well as physical ones that keep the organ from functioning properly, Manager reported.
