Just when you think you’ve seen the worst from Bangkok’s taxi drivers, a video like this surfaces to prove that they can sink much lower than you thought.
A crazy taxi driver was filmed kicking and jumping on a foreigner’s car yesterday morning following a reportedly simple argument — who gets to go first.
The incident, which happened in On Nut soi 30 at around 7:30am, started when the foreigner did not stop for the pink taxi to turn right, according to a witness’ voice in the background of the video.
In the clip, the taxi driver, who is carrying his kid, kicks the front of the foreigner’s car causing an obvious dent. But just when you think he’s done, he gets out of his car again to jump straight onto the hood of his opponent’s white car like he’s Tony Jaa.
The foreigner knows he has to do something. So, he steps out of the car to take a photo of the taxi’s license plate. The taxi almost runs him over as the cabbie tries to escape.
At the 5:30 mark, the taxi driver tells the foreigner why he’s so angry: “You messed with me! So you take this!”
Right.
The video ends with the crazy cabbie getting back into his car while a witness is heard saying that he’d call the police.
The video went viral overnight as Thai netizens agree that this cabbie should be charged for attempted murder and that he’s a threat to society and should not be allowed to drive again — ever.
They also expressed their sympathy for the foreigner, who amazingly remained calm throughout the incident despite almost being killed.
