Sticky Situation: Maxim model not any more famous after wearing duct-tape bra to event (PHOTOS)

A super low-key Maxim model caused a minor backlash last night after she showed up at the Siam Dara Awards wearing nothing but duct tape and a piece of sheer fabric.

She probably hoped for a bit more of a reaction.

Waranrada “June”” Kaewmeesee, Miss Maxim 2013’s first runner-up, attempted to steal the show by covering her private parts in duct tape, throwing on a curtain, and calling that a dress. The outfit drew some criticism from tabloid websites, but her duct-tape stunt didn’t make her any more famous.

No one commented on the Instagram photo of her dress and she wasn’t nominated for any awards.

It’s okay though, maybe all of her followers were busy. After all, there are only 20K of them.

We’re not sure what reaction June was hoping for. Maybe she was trying to become a fashion sensation like “Madeow,” who is famous for making high fashion out of everyday objects, but it didn’t go down that way.

Had her stunt worked, it wouldn’t have been the first time a Maxim girl used a weird boob fashion statement to raise her fame profile. In 2014, Kratai Maxim dominated digital media after she showed up at the Star’s Light Awards, wearing what we called a “boob suspender.”

Then again, Kratai was one of the most famous Maxim girls, boasting 200,000 likes on her Instagram.

We’re not sure what hurts more, the internet silence or pulling off that tape at the end of the night. Ouch!

Anyway, here are some photos of June Maxim minus the duct tape:
