BKK Unseen: Step out of the big box stores and into local artisan market Art Box (VIDEO)

In the eighth episode of BKK Unseen, Coconuts TV dives right into Bangkok’s city center where they found refuge from the gigantic corporate shopping malls at Art Box Market.

In this market, you’ll find retail shops and food stalls fashioned out of recycled shipping containers. Each tiny shop is run by young Thai entrepreneurs selling everything from food to clothing of their own design to handmade decorations.

The concept of Art Box is that art can be a part of everyday life when you purchase locally designed goods and stuff yourself with the wide array of offerings from the many food stalls, trucks, and beverage bars.

The market will reopen on the last day of September and is expected to go on until the end of April. For more information, check their Facebook page.
