Croc-feeding business owner will pay you THB5 million if you can make their raft sink

The owner of the controversial crocodile-feeding business in Pattaya has challenged the public to form a team and attempt to make their feeding station sink, adding that he would pay THB5 million to any successful team.

Uthen Youngprapakorn, CEO of Elephant Territory Pattaya — the farm that’s recently appeared in the news for offering an activity to tourists who want to feed crocodiles from a raft, spoke out with an offer to the people who leave comments questioning the safety of his business.

Here’s how it works. Anyone can form a team of up to 17 people, and if your team can successfully make the raft sink in 5 minutes, your team goes home with THB5 million in cash.

Considering that you might not have many members left to split the reward after the experiment, THB5 million sounds like a good deal.

After the photos of his establishment went viral last week, his license to operate the crocodile farm was suspended for 90 days, pending inspection by the Tourism Authority of Thailand regarding the attraction’s safety.

Uthen said that he has been running the activity for 12 years and replaced the raft five times. There have not been any accidents.

Uthen said that visitors to the Elephant Territory Pattaya have recently dropped 80 percent, which resulted in a six-figure revenue loss, Morning News reported.
