Soi Food Series: Get lost in the maze of food at Wang Lang Market

It’s impossible to leave Wang Lang Market without buying something, whether affordable accessories, vintage clothes or great food. Known for offering second-hand essentials, this market also houses a variety of food to fill your tummy from fried pork to sushi and bakery items.

Moo Tod Chao Wang

One of the most classic street snacks in Bangkok is fried pork with sticky rice. Moo Tod Chao Wang’s signature is a saucy red fried pork with sticky rice for THB45 that they’ve been perfecting for more than 10 years. Note that the pork is for takeaway only.

Mew’s Spring Rolls (Original)

There are two small tables where you can enjoy Mew’s rolls fresh from the cooker for THB35. Take advantage of this setup because this might be the only spring roll stand in Bangkok that offers seating.

Yupin’s Som Tam

Declious som tam with juicy fried chicken and sticky rice, there’s no better lunch you can ask for on the streets of Bangkok. It’s easy on your wallet too. They also serve spicy soup with ant eggs.

Their sushi may be small and cheap, but Orathai is famous for using the freshest ingredients and, hey, now there’s two branches for you to sop up the Japanese flavors on the cheap. Sushi starts at just THB5 per piece while a bowl of sesame salmon will set you back THB129.
