Pokemon Go promised their players many things, from more time outdoors to experiencing what it’s like to catch pokemons in real life. The one thing that we did not expect Pokemon Go to offer is job opportunities.
After launching the app in Thailand, the game was an instant hit and people went crazy. Some people immediately swooped in on the opportunity to make money off of the game by offering ‘trainers’ to level up their character for them in exchange for money. You can mostly find these poke nannies on facebook, such as PokemonGoLevelupThailand. Depending on what level you want your character to be, standard prices range from THB100 to THB1,000 but can go much higher depending on your poke needs.
Some players are cautious, worried that their account will be banned by Niantic. However, these poke nannies guarantee that their leveling up methods do not involve bots or hacking. They’ll even let you choose where you want them to be and you will be able to login and check their progress. You won’t be allowed to catch pokemons or fight other gyms though.
Other services they offer is finding rare pokemon. Hardcore Pokemon Go trainers know that some pokemons are region-locked: like how Asia has Farfetch’d. The trainer for hire swears that he is able to find you the rare pokemon you desire, or just any rare pokemon – for the price of THB100 per hour. Even Mr. Mime, who is supposed to be locked to Europe, could be yours.
Pokemon Go Level Up Thailand isn’t the only poke nanny around though. There are other facebook groups that offer the service. Unfortunately, business isn’t booming as much due to Niantics becoming more severe about this sort of thing, leaving many with a healthy dose of fear.
