Loyal dog ‘Lady’ tries to save drowning owner who falls into pond

A loyal dog named “E-noo” (or “Lady” in English) proved that dog really is (wo)man’s best friend when she tried to save her senior owner after she fell into a 10-meter-deep pond in Prachin Buri.

Ratree Khumsak, 71, went fishing with Lady, as they often do, but she tragically fell into the pond, causing the alarmed dog to immediately run back to the house to get Ratree’s husband to come save her. But, unfortunately for them both, it was too late.

Her husband, Hormnuan Somsuk, said he had been with his wife for a long time, and fishing was a part of her daily routine to feed the family.

Officials later found her body in the pond and presumed that her fall was caused by an episode of heat stroke. Hormnuan told reporters that he could never have imaged that this would happen to her, reported Kapook.
