MahaNakhon celebrates completion and title of ‘Thailand’s tallest building’ with light show

MahaNakhon, the 77-story skyscraper that is the newest holder of the title of ‘Thailand’s tallest building,’ will host a light show next week to celebrate its completion.

MahaNakhon, a mixed-use tower in Chong Nonsi, rises 314 meters into Bangkok’s sky. It has 77 floors and exceeds Baiyok II Tower, the formerly tallest building, by 10 meters.

The building, owned by PACE Development, labels itself as having a luxury design. It caters to a hotel, retail businesses, bars, restaurants, and the Ritz-Carlton Residences condominium.

MahaNakhon also hosts the first Morimoto restaurant in Southeast Asia, which is a Japanese-fusion fine dining spot owned by Masaharu Morimoto from Iron Chef America.

The light show, which marks completion of the building, will be held on August 29. There are two shows at 7:30pm and 8:25pm, which the public are allowed to observe from afar.

PACE Development will also host a lucky draw and give away prizes for those who submit their snapshots of the lightshow.
