A hilarious glitch from flight search engine Skyscanner has become the new viral thread on Facebook. A British passenger logged in to ask the company what he should do during the 47-year layover that the site suggested as part of his itinerary.
James Lloyd, a 25-year-old from Lincolnshire, wanted to book a flight from Christchurch, New Zealand to London using Skyscanner. However, the site suggested an itinerary that he never would have imagined — including a layover at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport for 413,786 hours.
But the response from Jen, a Skyscanner staff member, was what really turned it into a funny post that went viral when she suggested activities he could do in Bangkok for those years… including celebrating Songkran, of course.
Overall, people are impressed by Jen and agree that she deserves a promotion for her wit.
Lloyd told Buzzfeed that he thought the glitch was funny, but worth pointing out to Skyscanner. He didn’t expect a personal response from their staff.
