Customized Cop Car: Patrol vehicle gets customized with awesome plastic seats

A photo of an Udon police pickup truck featuring plastic lawn chairs instead of has seats has had netizens speculating and caused the pic, posted to social media, to go viral.

Online commenters had all kinds of thoughts about the weirdly customized cop vehicle, including questions about safety, legality and how could such a customization come about?

Pol. Col. Piyabut Paiboon, chief of Ban Dung police station in Udon Thani, said the questionable vehicle belongs to his patrol officers. He said that the car might be worn out but it still runs, reported Thairath.

He said that the Mazda in question is their truck but that the seats were old and ripped, with springs poking through. He decided to get the seats reupholstered but, while the seats were removed for repair, the mechanics put these plastic chairs in and posted the photos for a laugh.

To confirm this story, a photo was posted later showing the repaired driver’s seat back in place.
