Furious Flight Attendant: ‘Famous’ Thai man takes title of worst passenger

A flight attendant shared her horrible experience with a supposedly famous Thai passenger during her flight from Thailand to Europe on Panthip. According to her, this man takes the crown of being the worst passenger she has ever encountered.

While the original post on Panthip has been taken off the site, Manager managed to transcribe everything that was written on the post.

The flight attendant, who goes by the username Samudra, titled her post, “Please share this. Thai passengers definitely lose to nobody.”

Samudra starts off explaining how she has been an air hostess for 11 years, but her latest flight from Thailand to Europe was her absolute worst.

During boarding time, a “famous” Thai man stormed right up to her and demanded to know why he wasn’t seated next to his wife. Samudra explained that seating arrangements should’ve been dealt with the Ground Staff before boarding time, but her explanation wasn’t enough.

Instead, he continued throwing a tantrum, asking her, “Why am I not sitting with my wife? Which part of your brain are you using to think? Are you even using your brain? Do you even have a brain? Use it!” while pointing at his own head to indicate that he has one.

Samudra asked him to be patient until everyone was seated before contacting the Ground Staff. Apparently, he had shown his displeasure since before he boarded the plane, but he never actually saved a seat. Thankfully, Samudra found 2 seats available, so she was able to move the rude man and his wife there.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of things.

The second the seatbelt sign was turned off, Samudra saw one of the cabin crew talking to the same man from before, but this time, he was complaining about the window shades. He said that he wanted to sleep but was unable to close the shades.

According to Samudra, keeping the window shades up is part of a whole procedure that flight attendants do at the beginning of the flight, along with unlocking the bathrooms. But for today, she was willing to skip a few steps so that he would kindly stop talking.

That didn’t work.

Two minutes later, while Samudra was welcoming passengers over the PA, she heard yelling coming from behind her, but it wasn’t hard to guess who it was. The man was demanding a pillow so that he could take a nap, but the airline doesn’t provide pillows. Upset, he began demanding that one of the cabin crew who brought their own pillow give it up so that he can have one.

All the while, he was swearing and banging his fist on the bathroom door to demonstrate the magnitude of his fury.

He said that he paid a hundred thousand baht for business class, and continued to insult the airline.

At this point, Samudra explained that they were a budget airline to begin with, and a ticket for premium class didn’t cost more than THB30,000. He simply wanted to show off his wealth.

At her wits end, Samudra calmly explained to him that she was going to have to report to the captain about his behavior — which she did right to his face. That got him to shut up and go back to his seat.

Of course, he wouldn’t be a class A rude passenger if his behavior stopped after being told on. During the flight, Samudra said she and the rest of the cabin crew were constantly called on by him to get things for him, from water to free snacks. He didn’t ask nicely and didn’t give them thanks, but was simply ordering them around because it was their job to serve.

After he and his wife left, he didn’t just leave a bad impression on the cabin crew, but he also left a pile of trash behind where he sat.

Samudra wrote, “It wouldn’t have bothered me so much if the man was drunk or a foreigner. But I was just so disappointed to see that this is a Thai man who is supposedly an important figure who is famous. He has made inspiring speeches and is someone people respect and idolize. He is someone many call ‘teacher,’ someone that probably everyone in Thailand knows. I am just so sad to know that someone like he was born in the same country as me, and I really wish I will never have to see him again. I suppose this just shows that I have done something seriously bad in my past life, which is why I had to spent 12 hours with him in this life. Whatever wrong I did before, I hope it’s considered payed. Amen.”

While the man’s identity remains anonymous, Samudra heavily hinted that he was someone famous worldwide. Well, he has now been reported to the Security Department.
