Wasted space gets turned into world’s first non-rectangular soccer fields (VIDEO)

Real estate developer AP Thai and digital agency CJ Worx have partnered up to create four ingenious, oddly-shaped soccer fields hidden in forgotten corners of Bangkok’s underprivileged Klong Toei area.

In between the buildings, they turned awkwardly-shaped, unused parcels that had been filled with trash into unexpected, non-rectangular soccer fields to serve the community’s kids.

The soccer fields can be found sandwiched between several old buildings, according to design blog My Modern Met.

“We strongly believe that space can change one’s life and, seeing the community brought together to enjoy [the field], meant that we achieved our goal,” said a representative for AP Thai.
