This little infographic by marketing company iPrice shows some pretty shocking statistics about the cost of the iPhone7.
Across the top, we see how much the fancy new phone costs in the U.S. and around Southeast Asia.
Since it’s an American product, it’s so surprise that it’s cheapest in the States at USD749 (THB26,110). But what’s surprising is how much the price differs throughout Southeast Asia.
Why is the phone only USD897 in Singapore but a whopping USD1,340 (THB46,713) in Thailand? Sadly, Thailand has the highest-priced iPhone7 in the region.
At the bottom, we see some even more depressing statistics. The kind people at iPrice have broken down exactly how many of your days you’ll need to slave away at work to be able to pay for this little headphone jack-less beauty.
On an average salary, Americans only have to go to the office for four days to afford the phone while Singaporeans will have to work for a week straight to get it. Malaysians will need to work for almost a month to buy the phone while Thais would need to work every day for more than two months, a total of 69 days, to purchase the handset.
That’s not even the worst though. Vietnamese citizens would have to work for more than three months straight, 104 days, to be able to afford an iPhone7.
