Now soon is next week? Morrissey’s Bangkok concert next Tuesday, more tickets now available

Former frontman of The Smiths and notoriously angsty singer Morrissey will appear in Bangkok next Tuesday at Lat Phrao’s Moonstar Studio.

The hugely influential, Manchester, UK native has been called one of the greatest songwriters in history and one of the fathers of Britpop and international indie rock.

A solo artist since The Smiths broke up in 1987, he’s had ten Top 10 hits in the UK.

The historic show in the intimate studio had only 1,500 tickets for sale and, much to the lament to many fans, was announced as “sold out” last week.

As far back as September 19, they had only 100 tickets left according to the the organizer, Viji Corp’s, Facebook page.

After lots and lots of requests for more tickets, the organizers were able to work with the venue to increase the capacity slightly and have just announced that there is a small batch of tickets newly available.

They wouldn’t reveal exactly how many tickets were up for grabs or how they managed this feat but, as of this afternoon, they told Coconuts that a few tickets were still available for the Tuesday concert via Thaiticketmajor for THB2,200.
