Footage of a foreigner singing Thailand’s royal anthem in public as loud as he could has received much love and appreciation from Thai netizens. They said that they appreciated the man’s grand gesture and that he was expressing his sorrow.
The video was posted by Thai actor Fundee Junyatanakron on Sunday. It has been viewed almost 200,000 times.
The man was not identified, but many Thai netizens admired him and his respect for their beloved late king.
“You have all the Thai people’s hearts. We have the same father,” Bon Puekdej commented.
Another commenter, Kungying Anongnud Prasansung said the foreigner used to be a yoga instructor in Phuket and was known for his love for the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. She said that he also followed the late king’s philosophy of living a simple lifestyle.
