Thailand Post announces that King Rama IX memorial postcard and stamp almost ready

Postcards and stamps designed in memory of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej are now 90 percent complete and registration to receive the free stamps will commence shortly, according to Thailand Post. 

Thailand Post President Smorn Terdthumpiboon has revealed the production progress of memorial postcard and stamp sets, featuring the image of the late HM the King are almost ready, reported Thai News Bureau.

The memorial stamps will be printed with the image of the late monarch wearing an air force uniform. The THB1 stamp will come with a special memorial date seal of Oct. 13 2016, which was the day of the late King’s passing. 

The general public will be able to register themselves to receive stamp sets free of charge. Registration can be made online or at any Thailand Post office nationwide. 

The delivery of the stamps will be carried out at random to ensure even distribution to Bangkok and other provinces.
