Mobile toilets to be built around Sanam Luang

The public and private sectors are speeding up the installation of mobile restrooms around Sanam Luang to facilitate the needs of mourners planning to pay homage to King Bhumibol.

Siam Cement Group (SCG) President Rungrote Rangsiyopash said SCG has joined hands with the Ministry of Industry to build knock-down public toilets in different spots around Sanam Luang. The task will take three days and will be completed by 29th October from which date the public will be allowed to pay homage to HM the King in the Grand Palace, reported Thai News Bureau.

The knock-down facilities are designed to deal with different groups of users, including men, women, and the elderly. Each unit can service up to 40 people at a time. The first two units will be installed at Sanam Luang near the Grand Palace. Others will be placed at Santiporn Park and Thammasat University. A knock-down temporary office will also be built for on-site officials.
