The expressway’s new one-pass system launches Nov. 1

As of Nov. 1, drivers with an M-Pass or Easy Pass can use either of the cards to pay all their tolls on the expressway. That extends to paying tolls on the ring roads and motorway as well.

The three systems have been connected electronically and will provide no problem for motorists who want to pay easily while traveling on the expressway.

Easy Pass, which is not new, is already used to pay for approximately 600,000 trips daily, which is 38 percent of the total trips, 1.8 million trips, made on all the roads daily, reported Thai PBS.

Narong Khiaddet, governor of Expressway and Rapid Transit Authority (ETA), said yesterday that the ETA plans to extend three of the expressway routes in the near future. They include: Rama III, Dao Kanong Outer Western Ring Road and third part of the expressway.
