Police are trying to track down the woman who was filmed sitting on the trunk of a moving taxi — and who absolutely scared the hell out of anyone who knows how Thai ghosts work.
The video, which was taken by MCOT photojournalist Powarit Katkul, shows an eerie woman sitting calmly on the trunk of a pink taxi. As if it wasn’t creepy enough, when Powarit’s car got closer to the taxi, the woman looked into the camera and pointed her finger in the direction of the people inside the taxi.
Powarit told the police that the incident happened on Rama IX road, on Sunday at 6:30pm.
The photojournalist couldn’t believe his eyes, and he was heard in the video asking his two other friends: “Do you see what I see?”
The video was posted to Facebook by another MCOT journalist and has received over 2.5 million views since Sunday.
Police checked the taxi’s license number and discovered that it has been cancelled by the Department of Land Transport. In addition, the plate didn’t even belong to a pink taxi, but instead belonged on a brown Opel.
Police have contacted the brown Opel’s owner for questioning, Khaosod reported.
