Wonderful Winter: Temperature atop Doi Inthanon drops to 4 degrees Celsius

While Bangkok is still waiting to feel the rare cool breeze of winter, the temperature atop Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand, has dropped to 4 degrees Celsius.

Roong Hiranwong, Head of Doi Inthanon National Park, said more tourists have climbed onto the popular mountain to experience the cold and camped out to witness the sea of fog in the morning.

Roong said he expects Doi Inthanon to be colder than ever before as the park has been supporting a wave of tourists with accommodations, parking spots and public transportations, INN reported.

Meanwhile in Bangkok, we’re still experiencing temperatures of 32 degrees Celsius during the day, but walking in the sun has become somewhat bearable.

Thailand officially entered the winter season on Oct. 30.
