Big Brother Update: Government continues installation of CCTVs nationwide

The government is expediting the installation of CCTV cameras across the country in its effort to combat crimes and promote public safety.

Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan has called a meeting with the committee overseeing the development of the national CCTV system. He said he instructed the committee members to speed up the CCTV camera installation project in every province as the Inspector-General of the Prime Minister’s Office will soon make an inspection visit to ensure its progress.

The entire installation process is expected to finish between February and March next year. The government hopes that the CCTV cameras will help reduce crime rates in the country and allow citizens to feel confident in their safety.
