Girl Groom Weds Bride Boy: Happy couple breaks gender barrier, ties the knot

A happy couple, both of whom are transgender, made headlines yesterday when they got married in Samut Sakhon after three years of dating.

The blushing bride is Sariya Nimyaem, 34, and her groom, Kesanee Khunrak, 25, may have swapped traditional gender roles, but it all worked out as the couple plans to have a baby, reported MCOT.

Their love was celebrated by a few hundreds of their nearest and dearest — many of whom were ladyboy buddies of the bride.

If you’re wondering where such a love can bloom, the couple met years ago on Facebook. To them, love is what’s important, not gender. The bride sells flowers in a market while the groom spends his days in an office.

The couple sealed their ceremony with a sweet kiss to the thunderous applause of all of their guests.

They reportedly obtained a marriage license three years ago but waited out for a suitable time to hold the wedding ceremony.
