Best restaurants voted by Thais announced in Wongnai Users’ Choice Awards

Thailand’s most popular restaurant-finding website and app Wongnai announced which restaurants have received the best user ratings on Dec 13.

User’s favorite restaurants were nominated in various categories from street food to fine dining. The awards analyzed over 800,000 reviews from 2.5 million users nationwide to pick the restaurants with the highest star-ratings around Thailand.

Best Thai Restaurant goes to Osha Thai Restaurant & Bar at Lumpini, while Chinatown’s Jok Toh Diew, famous for having only one table in the past, won the Best Chinese food. Bangkok’s Ob Aroi beat out other seaside competitors for Best Seafood.

Fillets, a beef-based Japanese restaurant at The Portico on Lang Suan Road, was crowned the Best Japanese Restaurant while the Best Steak title goes to the European-style Arno’s Butcher and Eatery.

L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, the Michelin-starred restaurant in Mahanakhon Cube Building, received the best reviews in the Fine Dining category. For Best Street Food, Charoensaeng in Silom served up user’s favorite stewed pork leg.

It is an unofficial fact that Thais have a sweet tooth. The Wongnai awards confirms this by crowning dessert cafe franchise After You the year’s all-round favorite dining spot.
