Chiang Rai police paid Q Bar a visit after the business advertised an all-you-can-drink promotion with an alluring photo of Sangsom bottles.
The police and local administrative officers investigated the newly opened bar on Dec 18. They did not find underaged drinkers or anything illegal, Khaosod reported.
However, the bar manager was warned that the bar should be more careful about its online advertising, because “posting clear photos of booze bottles encourage young drinkers.” The police pointed out that the ads could be breaking the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act.
Q Bar earlier launched an opening promotion during Dec. 17 – 20. For THB190, you could drink any alcoholic beverages and mixers until you dropped. Ladies also drank for free until 8pm.
The racy promotion has since disappeared from the Q Bar Facebook page.
