PHOTOS: Satisfying snaps of Bangkok’s empty roads over New Year holidays

Bangkok is known for its traffic. A study last year confirmed that it was the second most congested city in the world and our traffic police are even trained to act as midwives in cases of emergency roadside baby delivery.

However, over the New Year holidays, as residents left the capital to spend time with their families, several major arteries, even the dreaded Lat Phrao Road, were empty — an unfamiliar sight that social media users had to snap photos of and share online.

Don’t you wish Bangkok roads were like this all the time?
