Bangkok’s cat celebrity “Asoke Cat,” who used to lounge around Asoke BTS and enjoy the heavy petting of strangers, is launching his new lingerie line next month.
Asoke will be immortalized as a cartoon character on underwear, along with ten of his cat celeb friends, in collaboration with Thai lingerie brand Sabina.
Asoke was adopted in 2013 by a cat lady after he lost a cat fight and needed immediate medical assistance. The lady, Nutch Prasopsin, stepped in and cared for him.

After that, Asoke has been living a high life and even landed a magazine cover with Thai superstar Araya Hargate.
Nutch, who now owns a total of 11 cats, posts daily photos of Asoke and friends on her Facebook page “Kingdom of Tigers.” Following the adoption of Asoke Cat, her page has become the biggest cat page in Thailand. However, she has endured criticism for exploiting the the animals’ celebrity status.
Asoke Cat’s lingerie line will launch at Sabina stores on Feb. 1.
