Bodyslam lead vocalist Artiwara Kongmalai’s passion for table tennis has landed him the title of “Ping-pong Ambassador” from the Table Tennis Association of Thailand (TTAT).
Matichon reported that TTAT Chairman Peeradetch Pruttipurk officially gave the title to Artiwara, aka “Toon Bodyslam,” today in recognition of Artiwara’s commitment to intense practicing, as well as his participation in table tennis competitions organized by the association in the past two years. Peeradetch hopes that Artiwara’s Ambassadorship will help draw the public’s attention to the sport.
“I am honored to receive the title and will work my best with this position”, said the 33-year-old rock singer.
At Thailand Table Tennis Championship 2012, currently taking place at Fashion Island, Artiwara is competing for the ITTI Thailand team in the men’s and mixed doubles categories.
