Though HotelQuickly leapt ably onto Southeast Asia’s technology scene late last month, the last-minute hotel-booking app was not alone. Also competing for space in that rather slim field is CheckInTonight, which offers a nearly identical service.
CheckInTonight allows users to book same-day or next-day hotel rooms in five Asian countries and multiple cities, including Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Pattaya, Siem Reap, Phuket, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore.
The company has plans to launch in more locations soon, so between CheckInTonight and HotelQuickly, which offers accommodation services in Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Malaysia, you should be more or less set for hotel bookings in Southeast Asia.
Worthy of mention as well is the fact that both of these apps bear a remarkable resemblance to HotelTonight, which found great success offering the same service in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
