Echelon Ignite tech startup conference running Nov. 22-23

Singapore tech news website e27 is hosting one of its Echelon Ignite conferences in Bangkok on Nov. 22-23 and Coconuts Bangkok is a media partner!

Echelon Ignite will feature a Startup Marketplace competition with 10 Thai tech companies battling it out.

“We’ve wanted to do something in Thailand for a very long time,”  said e27 co-founder Mohan Belani. “Ever since Echelon 2012, we’ve been blown away by Thai startups like Builk andShopSpot. The startup community in Thailand is very promising, and we saw first hand, the passion of Thailand’s startup community at the recent Founders Drinks we held in partnership with HUBBA Thailand, thumbsup and Amazon Web Services.”

The location and speakers for the two-day event are yet to be announced, but HUBBA Thailand co-working space and Thai language tech blog ThumbsUp are also partners.

From the organizers:

So how does Echelon Ignite fit into the ecosystem of Echelon and Echelon Satellites? One thing to note, is that while Echelon gives us a broader understanding of global and regional trends, Echelon Ignite is designed to be hyper-local for attendees. The aim of Echelon Ignite is to raise the bar, locally. We’ll be going through the grinder to learn as many skills and best practices as possible, how to validate your startup ideas and get right down to the nitty-gritty of building your team around your idea. It’s designed to be a springboard to get startups ready for Echelon and Echelon satellites. In a nutshell, Echelon Ignite is best place to get educated with knowledge, enabled with skills and nurtured through mentors.

In the works, we are inviting a variety of experienced regional speakers and mentors to share their knowledge at Echelon Ignite sessions and a showcase of very promising startups from Thailand.

Tickets for Echelon Thailand can be purchased on Eventbrite HERE.
