Lucky amulet saves fried chicken vendor from stray bullet

Phrapaporn Phongboon, a fried chicken vendor, is claiming that the amulet around her neck protected her from a stray bullet that hit her chicken stand this Wednesday.

Phrapaporn faced a near-death experience yesterday at 7:30PM when a nine-mm bullet suddenly hit her fried chicken stand, located in a community market on Phoem Sin Road, Sai Mai. Dailynews reported that the 47-year-old merchant heard a gunshot from above while she was interacting with customers.

“I could feel that the bullet was running by so close to me that it almost touched my arm,” Phrapaporn said. “Then my customers and I jumped away.”

Phrapaporn believes that she is still alive because of the protective force of an amulet of Luang Phor Kasem Kemagoh, one of Thailand’s most respected monks.

“I am sure this miracle was caused by Luang Phor Kasem”, said Phrapaporn. She added that she has been in three motorcycle accidents but managed to survive in each case with only minor injuries.

Officers at the Bang Khen Police Station are gathering information in an attempt to find the wrongdoers.
