Robbers slash Thai Post reporter’s throat, steal THB9,000 phone

Yesterday, two men assaulted and robbed Suwat Panjawong, a 31-year-old Thai Post reporter. The assailants slashed Suwat’s throat with a knife before stealing a THB9,000 Nokia 6300 mobile phone from his person.

Suwat told police that he was making a phone call to his girlfriend when the incident happened on Soi Ratchada 36 in the Chatuchak district.

The two robbers approached Suwat on a motorcycle and told him to give them his wallet but Suwat resisted. The men then attacked Suwat, causing a four-centimeter-long slash on his neck. After the attack, he traveled by taxi to a hospital.

Phaholyothin Police stated that Suwat might have been dead if he had arrived at the hospital two minutes later. He is now in an ICU room at Lat Phrao Hospital.

According to Dailynews, one of the suspects has dark skin, short curly hair and stands about 170 centimeters tall.
